1. Determine If the Taxpayer Qualifies for An Offer In Compromise. Many Taxpayers have heard of an Offer In Compromise even if it was just in passing. The taxpayer must once again qualify for this option for it to be effective, because it totally wipes out the entire tax debt in one faithful action.
